Dr.Sunil Sinhmar
Dr. Sunil Sinhmar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Birla Institute of Technology & Science Pilani, Pilani campus, Rajasthan, India. His research interests include advanced joining methods such as ultrasonic welding, laser welding, and friction stir welding for sustainable manufacturing, including batteries for electric vehicles (EVs). Additionally, he is actively working on corrosion studies of various weld joints, processed surfaces, and coated/clad surfaces for diverse applications. He received funding from the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under the ITS scheme to attend an international conference at Oxford University, UK, in 2019 and the NPDF fellowship from the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB, DST) in 2022.
