Brief timeline from the past
Dr. Sajal Mukherjee completed his PhD from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata in 2019. Before that, he obtained his Masters degree from the same institute in 2015. Before joining BITS Pilani, he was a post doctoral fellow at the Astronomical Institute of Czech Academy of Sciences (CAS) in Prague between 2021-23, and at Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune (2019-21).
Research interests
His primary area of research is in the field of gravitational physics; in particular, probing relativistic binary with gravitational waves, classical gravity and black hole physics.
