  • Bachelor of Science (Physics Honours) from Presidency College Kolkata (Calcutta University), in 1999
  • Master of Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 2001
  • Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2011.
  • Post-doctoral fellow at Harish Chandra Research Institute (Allahabad - India) for approximately one year.
  • Joined the Physics department of BITS-Pilani in June 2012 as an assistant professor.

Research:

  • I am interested in diverse areas of theoretical cosmology. Our group is working on the theory of cosmological structure formation, dark energy and dark matter models and we study the diffuse intergalactic medium using the Lyman alpha forest spectra and the redshifted 21-cm signal.
