BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus's Chemical Engineering Department has a rich tradition of developing competent engineers since it was founded in 1964. The department has earned a reputation for academic and industry-readiness over the years.
We provide a suite of programs aimed at addressing varied educational requirements, such as the Integrated First Degree (B.E.), Higher Degree (M.E.), and Ph.D. programs. These programs are both on-campus and off-campus, with flexibility for students and researchers.
Our department strongly emphasizes interdisciplinary research, which fosters collaboration among different areas of engineering and science. This model allows students and faculty to engage complex real-world problems with creative solutions.
Aside from research, we have close ties to industry partners. These relationships assist in giving students hands-on learning experience, internships, and project work, gearing them towards productive careers as chemical engineers and in allied fields.
