Department Summary

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is one of the first departments at BITS Pilani, Dubai campus established in the year 2000. The department is dedicated to the teaching and research activities in the areas of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering , Instrumentation & Control and Communication Engineering. The department educates the students to take up challenging jobs in a wide range of industries and engage themselves in research and development activities for the good of society. Courses offered by the department cater to the learning needs from basics to the advanced level. The Department offers a variety of discipline electives and covers most of the modern technologies. It has state of the art laboratories to provide hands-on experiences and support research activities. Department has the Association of Electronic Engineers (AOEE), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Women in Engineering (WIE), Intelligent Flying Object for Reconnaissance (IFOR – Team), and Society of Women Engineers (SWE) for students related activities.

Welcome to the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus. Since its inception in 2000, our department has been committed to delivering excellence in education and research. Department Responsibilities

The EEE department is responsible for imparting foundational and advanced knowledge in key domains including electrical systems, electronics, instrumentation, and communication technologies. We focus on developing problem-solving abilities, technical competence, and ethical responsibility in our students. The department also supports interdisciplinary initiatives, industry-based learning, and co-curricular engagement through student chapters and technical societies.
