Dr. Bora teaches and researches in the multidisciplinary area of Culture and Communication Studies. His specific research interests are; theatre and performance studies, folklore performances, media and cultural identity, regional cultures of north east India. His PhD project was focused on the Political Theatre of Assam in connection to the regional identity assertion movements. He has written research articles of varied theatre-performance and folklore forms of Assam and also accomplished research projects.
